brand new demons was written when i thought i was in love with someone who did not love me in the same way and also as i was adjusting to college life so the songs were all really lovesick and anxious but painted over with a sweeter aesthetic which i think is also why Lindy was inspired to do the "vintage valentine" art style on the cover and there's more to this story which i'm kinda embarrassed about which i can maybe share if you ask me.
